Basic Trajectories of Development for Processes in the Universe: "Cinderella," "Remnant" and "Expansion"

Abstract

It appears that such basic plot shapes as "Cinderella" and "Comedy" reflect the ongoing of an amount of processes on Earth. It's important that first one has a parallel concept ("Remnant") that is quite poorly lightened in literature.

Introduction

The basic trajectories of development for processes in the Universe in common are a new concept that I use to show the fundamental relationship between those processes and phenomena in the Universe that have different nature. I formulated this concept during the study of the basic plot shape "Cinderella" - let me remind you that the outstanding American writer Kurt Vonnegut (Vonnegut, 1981, 2007) was the first to pay attention to this archetype; I consider the article by Andrew Regan and his co-authors to be the pinnacle of the "Cinderella" study (Reagan et al., 2016). Later it became clear that the basic trajectory of development for processes in the Universe (hereinafter - the trajectory of development) "Cinderella" has "partner" - the trajectory of development "Remnant."

Methods

The main methods of this study are observation and synthesis.

Results

Trajectory of development "Cinderella"

Principally, if we consider a literary work, we can present "Cinderella" as an unsuccessful initial attempt of hero (in real life, instead of one hero, there can be two or more subjects of action) to achieve the goal followed by a successful attempt (Brown & Tu, 2020). In general, this basic form of the plot can be described using one of two formulas (Fig. 1):

n * Λ + / (/- Rise, Λ - "Man on Hill," n є Z, n > 0);

/ + n * V (/- Rise, V - "Man in a Hole," n є Z, n > 0).

Figure 1

As can be seen from Fig. 1, "Cinderella" can be quite complex (since it can be represented as a fractal (I mean: The first general unsuccessful phase, the first unsuccessful phase of the second general successful phase, and the second successful phase of the second general successful phase (Yaremko, 2024))), but we, for convenience, confine ourselves to considering only its simplest form (Fig. 2).

Figure 2

If you now look at real life, the trajectory of the development "Cinderella" manifests itself as "A new building appears on the ruins of an old building" (Fig. 3) and "A new building is built from bricks of a destroyed old building" (Fig. 4).

The trajectory of development "Remnant" is a parallel concept for the trajectory of development "Cinderella"

This concept, in its essence, is radically different from "Cinderella" - the Second World is not a new building, but only a dim Remnant of the First World, which, after the death of the latter, comes out of the shadows (Figures 5 and 6).

On the question of the possibility and necessity of combining two parallel concepts

When we take physics into consideration, we learn that this science operates on two concepts of mass - inert mass (measured through the change in the speed of the physical body over time when a constant force acts on the latter) and gravitational mass (to measure this physical quantity, you need to see how intensively physical bodies attract each other), - that is, we see that one physical quantity serves to measure two different properties. Not everyone can accept this fact - for example, Albert Einstein created the General Theory of Relativity more than a hundred years ago, where he showed that inertia and gravity are sides of the same phenomenon in which mass bends Spacetime. But I must say that although General relativity does not recognize the existence of gravity as the fourth fundamental kind of interaction, the modern physical picture of the world includes the latter phenomenon.

In my opinion, combining parallel concepts is not possible and necessary. Here are at least two reasons for this conclusion:

The existence of two parallel concepts is a fractal reflection (Yaremko, 2024) of the existence of two antagonist forces (Order and Chaos) in the Universe;

The fact of having two different concepts to measure the same physical quantity is a consequence of the existence of the Prism Principle1 (it's similar to Newton's prism, which decomposes white light into a spectrum), which indicates that the Universe in which we live is only a projection of a better world (so, to create a projection of the globe (one volumetric object) on the plane, you need at least two round images - images of the Eastern and Western hemispheres, accordingly).

Merging two parallel trajectories of development into one

In a film or literary work, you can see a situation in which "Cinderella" and "Remnant" merge into one trajectory of development - it is a scene in which the first soldier dies from enemy fire, and then the second soldier (the one who survived) kills the enemy who spent attention or cartridge on the first soldier.

Here are examples:

A bad guy kills a policeman and then an inspector kills the bad guy (Zinnemann, 1973);

A British soldier kills a Zulu warrior and then a comrade of the killed warrior kills the British soldier (Hickox, 1979);

An earthling in a mech-suit kills an animal and then the next animal from the herd kills the Earth soldier (Cameron, 2009);

Wight hits the Knight Jorah Mormont and then Queen Daenerys destroys the undead (Benioff, Weiss& Sapochnik, 2019).

Trajectory of development "Expansion"

Consider an incomplete list of the expansions (Segment B – C in Fig. 2) of living organisms on Earth (Diamond, 1999; HerodoteVideos, 2022; Julien & Takama, 2010):

The Mammals leave underground burrows and gradually occupy all ecological niches after the dinosaurs died out;

Homo sapiens first inhabits the territory of Africa, and then gradually the whole Earth;

Indo-Europeans are expanding into Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Indian Peninsula;

The peoples of the Bantu language group, as farmers and pastoralists, are expanding into subequatorial Africa;

The ancestors of the modern Chinese, as farmers and pastoralists, are expanding into what is now southern China;

Europeans made expansion into North and South America after the discovery of Columbus.

Discussion

I must say that such trajectories of development as "Cinderella" and "Expansion" are appropriate to the basic plot shapes (the latter (Rise) corresponds to "Comedy"); "Remnant" manifests itself only through the character action "A small number of people remain alive" (Harlin, 2004; Benioff, Weiss& Sapochnik, 2019).

Conclusions

The basic trajectories of the development of processes in the Universe in common are a new concept in science that requires further study;

In order for the Second World to manifest itself, the First World must die.
